About the Department

Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering discipline which utilizes non-linear and active electrical components (such as semiconductor devices, especially transistors, diodes and integrated circuits) to design electronics circuits, devices, VLSI devices and their systems. The department has more than adequate infrastructure as regards class rooms, tutorial rooms, laboratories and other requirements. It has a judicious mix of experienced and young faculty, who are dedicated to their profession. Electronics engineering deals with implementation of application, principles and algorithms developed with in many related fields, for e.g. Solid state physics, radio engineering, telecommunications, control systems, signal processing, system engineering, computer engineering, instrumentation engineering, electric power control, robotics, and many others. The students are also imparted personality development training to prepare them to face placement interview with confidence. The faculty and the students are given exposure to latest development in the field of electronics and communication through expert lecturers.

Career Opportunities

There is a variety of avenues available to the graduates in Electronics and Communication Engineering. They can appear in GATE or CAT /MAT examination to pursue higher studies in engineering and management discipline respectively. They can appear in the Competitive examination like IES, BSNL, DRDO, etc. for career in Central Government Organizations. They can also appear for Competitive examination for entry in IAS and allied services, Probationary officer in public sector banks, and so on. They can avail services of Training and Placement cell of the college for campus recruitment or directly for entry in private sector. The job opportunities for the Electronics & Communication Engineers are in their own discipline and related fields, I.T enabled services and general disciplines. They can also start their own ventures if they possess entrepreneur skills.
